New Crankshaft Cummins 5.9 6B 6BT 12v and some 24v

New Crankshaft for Cummins 5.9 6B 6BT 12v and some 24v. Standard size. New.

Ffits 1994-1998 Dodge 12V and 2001-2002 24V 5.9 Cummins diesel engines. Does not fit 98.5-00 24V, those have an internal timing tone ring revision machined into the crankshaft.

Crank can also be used on 2003-2007 Dodge Cummins 5.9L engines but drive gear will need changed and there is no dowel on front face of this crank to locate the tone ring.

Crankshaft has been oiled and plastic wrapped to prevent rust. You can see that in the pictures.

A: The Haynes Repair Manual discusses this topic, but unless you are building a very high horsepower application, you shouldn't have a problem with the crankshaft breaking. The Haynes manual adds that it is "messy" when they break.
Q: Do hou have a crankshaft for my Cummins 6BT? I was running 50 PSI of boost and my crankshaft snapped?	9/25/2024
A: You might think this is a fake question, but this was a real phone call. I would rather not sell a crankshaft to a customer running 50 PSI of boost. I think you need a special crankshaft for that application.
Q: What is the crankshaft damper bolt torque spec for 94-96 Cummins 6BT engines?	10/7/2024
A: The Haynes Repair Manual says that the crankshaft damper bolts should be torqued to 135 ft-lbs.
